Intelligent warehouse racking systems include various types such as beam pallet racking, selective pallet racking, pallet-position racking, narrow-aisle racking, double-deep racking, and high-bay racking designed for stacker cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.

Each racking row is divided into multiple columns along the longitudinal direction of the warehouse and further subdivided into several levels vertically, creating a large number of storage locations. Goods are stored on pallets placed on these racks.

The load capacity of each shelf level—supported by the beams—can reach up to 4,500 kg.
