Amid the ongoing transformation of the manufacturing industry toward greater flexibility and intelligence, a manufacturing enterprise faced persistent challenges—including limited storage space for raw materials and semi-finished goods, low efficiency of manual handling, and poor synchronization between material delivery and production line takt time. To enhance its overall logistics responsiveness, the company engaged Zhejiang Jingxin Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. to design and implement a highly integrated automated warehousing system.

Located within the client’s own factory, the solution was meticulously tailored to the company’s product structure, production processes, and site constraints. The system configuration includes:
6 stacker cranes
12,936 standardized storage locations
Multiple vertical lift modules (VLMs)
A fully connected intelligent conveyor network
A unified electrical control system integrated with Jingxin’s proprietary WMS/WCS software platform
The system covers all critical logistics nodes—from raw material receiving, semi-finished goods buffering, to just-in-time delivery to production lines.
Recognizing the manufacturing environment’s characteristics—such as diverse material types, significant variation in item dimensions, and high-frequency material flow—the solution adopts a modular layout design. Heavy or bulky items are stored in high-bay racking via stacker cranes, while small-to-medium standard components are automatically transferred between floors through conveyors and vertical lifts. This effectively creates a seamless vertical and horizontal logistics link between storage and production lines.

All equipment is centrally managed by an intelligent dispatch system that dynamically adjusts task allocation and routing based on real-time production demands—minimizing waiting times and maximizing operational synergy.
Since commissioning, the system has significantly enhanced warehouse operation standardization and traceability, enabled more space-efficient inventory storage, and ensured smoother alignment between material flow and production rhythms. Moreover, end-to-end digital management provides robust data support for inventory optimization and quality control. The system operates stably under multi-shift continuous production and features scalable interfaces for future integration with the client’s broader enterprise IT systems.
